What is biometric unlock?
Biometric unlock lets you open Spendify using your face or fingerprint instead of going through email verification each time. It's a fast, convenient way to access your account while keeping it secure.
Supported biometric methods
Spendify supports the biometric method available on your device:
Face ID — Available on newer iPhones (iPhone X and later).
Touch ID — Available on older iPhones with a Home button and some iPads.
Fingerprint — Available on Android devices with a fingerprint sensor.
Spendify automatically detects which method your device supports — you don't need to choose.
How to enable biometric unlock
Open Spendify and go to Settings.
Look for the Biometric Unlock option (it may appear as "Face ID," "Touch ID," or "Fingerprint" depending on your device).
Toggle it on.
You'll be prompted to confirm with your biometric — scan your face or touch the fingerprint sensor.
That's it! Next time you open Spendify, you'll be able to unlock with a quick scan.
How to disable biometric unlock
Open Spendify and go to Settings.
Find the Biometric Unlock option.
Toggle it off.
You can re-enable it anytime by following the steps above.
Good to know
Biometric unlock is optional — you can always use email verification to sign in.
If your biometric scan fails (for example, if your fingers are wet or the lighting is poor), Spendify will fall back to email verification so you're never locked out.
Your biometric data stays on your device — Spendify never sees or stores your face or fingerprint data.
