How to permanently delete your account and what happens to your data

Before you delete your account

Deleting your Spendify account is permanent and cannot be undone. Before you proceed, here are a few things worth considering:

  • Export your data first. If you'd like to keep a record of your transactions, budgets, or other financial data, make sure to export it before requesting deletion. Once your account is gone, we won't be able to recover any of it.

  • Talk to us first. If something isn't working the way you'd like, or if you have feedback, we'd love the chance to help. You can reach our support team directly through the app β€” sometimes we can resolve the issue without you needing to leave.

What happens when you delete your account

When your account is deleted, the following happens:

  • All your data is permanently erased β€” transactions, budgets, categories, net worth history, and any other information you've added to Spendify.

  • All bank connections are severed. Any links to your bank accounts through Plaid or Apple FinanceKit are immediately disconnected.

  • Your Premium subscription is canceled. If you have an active Spendify Premium subscription, it will be canceled automatically. You won't be charged going forward.

  • Push notifications stop. You'll no longer receive any alerts or reminders from Spendify.

This action is irreversible. There is no grace period or way to restore a deleted account.

How to delete your account

  1. Open the Spendify app.

  2. Go to Settings (gear icon in the bottom navigation bar).

  3. Scroll down and tap Delete Account.

  4. Read the confirmation prompt carefully.

  5. Confirm that you want to permanently delete your account.
