How to change your name, email, and other account details

How to access your profile settings

Your profile is where you manage the personal details tied to your Spendify account. To get there:

  1. Open the Spendify app on your device.

  2. Tap the Settings tab (gear icon) in the bottom navigation bar.

  3. Tap Profile at the top of the Settings screen.

From here, you can view and update the information associated with your account.

What you can update

Your name

You can change your first and last name at any time. This is the name that appears throughout the app and in any communications from Spendify.

  1. Tap the Name field on your profile screen.

  2. Edit your first name, last name, or both.

  3. Tap Save to confirm your changes.

Your updated name will appear across the app right away.

Your email address

Since Spendify uses email-based authentication (no passwords!), your email address is how you sign in. If you need to update it:

  1. Tap the Email field on your profile screen.

  2. Enter your new email address.

  3. Tap Save.

  4. Check your new email inbox for a verification code from Spendify.

  5. Enter the code in the app to confirm the change.

Important: You'll need to verify your new email address before the change takes effect. Until verification is complete, your old email remains active. Make sure you have access to the new email inbox before starting this process.

A few things to keep in mind

  • After changing your email, you'll use the new email address to sign in going forward.

  • Your financial data, bank connections, and subscription are not affected by profile changes.
