Understanding Transaction Sync
Spendify automatically syncs your transactions from your connected bank accounts. Most transactions appear within a few minutes, but sometimes it can take a bit longer depending on your bank.
Why Transactions Might Be Delayed or Missing
Pending vs. posted transactions — Some banks only share transactions once they've fully posted (cleared). Pending transactions may not appear until your bank finalizes them, which can take 1–3 business days.
New account connections — When you first connect a bank account, it may take a little extra time for the initial batch of transactions to sync. This is normal.
Bank connection issues — If your bank connection has become disconnected (e.g., due to a password change or bank maintenance), transactions won't sync until the connection is restored.
Bank-side delays — Occasionally, banks may be slow to make transaction data available to third-party services. This is outside of Spendify's control.
What to Try
Check your connection status — Open Spendify and go to your accounts. If a bank shows as disconnected, tap it to reconnect.
Pull to refresh — On the transactions screen, pull down to trigger a manual refresh.
Give it some time — If you just connected an account or a transaction is still pending at your bank, wait a few hours and check again.
Verify with your bank — Log into your bank's app or website to confirm the transaction has posted there.
When to Contact Support
If a posted transaction has been missing for more than 24 hours and your bank connection is active, something might be off. Reach out to our support team through the app and include:
The name of the bank account
The approximate date and amount of the missing transaction
We'll investigate and get things sorted for you.
