What notifications does Spendify send?
Spendify can send you timely push notifications to help you stay on top of your finances. Here are the types of notifications you might receive:
Budget warnings — Get alerted when you're approaching or have exceeded a budget limit, so you can adjust your spending before it's too late.
Large transactions — Receive a heads-up when an unusually large transaction is detected on one of your linked accounts.
Account updates — Stay informed about important changes to your connected accounts, such as sync status or balance updates.
Your privacy on the lock screen
We take your financial privacy seriously. Spendify notifications are designed so that no sensitive information is ever shown on your lock screen. You won't see dollar amounts, account names, or merchant details in the notification preview.
Instead, you'll see a general alert letting you know something needs your attention. Simply tap the notification to open Spendify, where you can view the full details securely inside the app.
How to customize your notifications
You can choose exactly which notifications you'd like to receive:
Open Spendify and go to Settings.
Tap Notifications.
Toggle each notification type on or off based on your preferences.
You can update these preferences anytime — no need to restart the app.
System-level notification settings
If you're not receiving notifications at all, make sure Spendify has permission to send notifications on your device:
iPhone: Go to Settings → Notifications → Spendify and make sure "Allow Notifications" is turned on.
Android: Go to Settings → Apps → Spendify → Notifications and ensure notifications are enabled.
A note on notification delivery
Push notifications require an internet connection and depend on Apple's and Google's notification services. Occasionally, a notification may be slightly delayed — this is normal and doesn't affect your account or data.
